Beginning in 2003, DeKaser developed a housing valuation model that accurately identified the risk of price corrections at the metropolitan area level of geographic detail. Beginning in 2005, he engaged IHS Global Insight -- an internationally renowned provider of data, forecasts and consulting services -- in a joint venture to produce quarterly updates and refinements.
