Macroeconomic Analysis & Research

Briefings & Presentations

Briefings for clients or internals – either on-site or via teleconference – to interpret high-frequency economic developments, assess public policy implications, or articulate a view. Examples include client events or corporate meetings, either on an ongoing (e.g. “Monday morning pre-market”), or ad hoc basis.

Forecasts

A summary of the economic outlook is provided online, but written commentary and additional sectoral detail are also available – on both a routine, or ad hoc basis. Examples include detailed forecasts for consumer spending, businesses investment, government outlays and budgets, foreign trade, housing and motor vehicles.

Contract Research

Focused, specialized analysis is customized to meet specific needs of businesses, governments and think-tanks. Housing Valuation/Risk Analytics

Detailed economic information is used to evaluate house prices in 378 metropolitan areas that, collectively, account for over 90 percent of the U.S. single family market. Fundamental analysis is used to identify “fair value”, and the risk of price corrections is assessed in relation to the market’s degree of over-, or under-valuation. Additionally, price forecasts are available with a 10-year horizon. This information is principally used to assess credit risk and mortgage-backed securities valuation.
